Summer Camp Artist #17 – 56 Hope Road

Next we’ve got 56 Hope Road as #17 in our Summer Camp Artist Series. They’re a 7-piece out of Chicago ( you know, the greatest city on earth? ) and they happen to have some pretty good tunes from what I’ve heard. I’m hoping to be able to check them out on May 6th with Family Groove Company at The Cubby Bear in Chicago for FGC’s album release party, and you’d be smart to check it out, too. Why, you ask? Well word on the street is they might be giving away Summer Camp tickets there. But that’s just what I’ve heard.

Little known fact: 56 Hope Road played 219 shows in 2005. That’s more than any other band tracked on JamBase.com, and that’s a lot of bands.

The music I’ve got for you today comes recommended from the band’s publicist, who’ve I’ve been in contact with, and it’s a good show. I haven’t been fortunate enough to make it to a Double Door show yet, so I can’t picture the venue they’re in for this show, but I imagine it’s not bad. Anyhew, check out the band’s website, and add ’em on MySpace for gosh sakes!
