Summer Camp Artist #16 – Malcolm Palmer

Movin’ right along with the Summer Camp Artist Series, we have Malcolm Palmer of Chicago at #16. Malcolm is an artist who blends the rarely-blended hip-hop and folk styles, and while I don’t have too many examples of his music, what I’ve heard so far is definitely his own. As of late 2005, he now tours as the Malcolm Palmer Band, with drummer Kevin Marks (A-Set, Swag) and bassist Jamie Alker teaming up with Palmer onstage.

The band will be opening Saturday up for Summer Camp on the campground stage at noon. Until then, check out MalcolmPalmer.com for more info and enjoy this little ditty from his most recent release.
