Family Groove Company<\/a>, always a Burning Oak favorite, hit the Canopy Club last Friday night for a well-attended show. A very good night for covers, as it always is from the band, featuring the jam from Kansas’ “Carry On Wayward Son,” a rousing “Oye Como Va,” and a repeat rendition of The Beatles’ “Strawberry Fields Forever.” I didn’t catch the band’s version of Strawberry Fields at Winter Dig It, so I was pretty excited to see it live. The band also played my favorite new song of theirs, “Every Time You Shake It.” It’s a dance tune and a half, and has managed to get me going every time I’ve heard it live. I’ve linked a copy of the song from the band’s show at The Cabooze in Minneapolis, MN this last February, enjoy:<\/p>\n
