Filling in a big part of Western Europe is France, a particular favorite of mine since I spent over four years in French class in high school, not to mention, the South of France is the absolute shit. Spend some time in the town of Nice if you’re ever there. France obviously has way too many artists that stick out for me to cover them all, but I will throw out a couple favorite songs.

Joe Dassin – Aux Champs Elysee. This was always a favorite from those high school french classes, and I’ve had it stuck in my head on more than one occasion. Joe Dassin was a pretty popular dude in France in the 70’s from what I’ve heard, and this song was one of his hits.
