Alright, Summer Camp Artist Series entry #25 is another headliner, Yonder Mountain String Band. The band is a bluegrassy quartet out of Colorado, and they’ve been around quite awhile, since a random bar jam session in 1998. The band is releasing it’s fourth studio album *today* as a matter of fact, and they’re streaming tracks from their site, so be sure to check that out. The release is self-titled, and I’ve got one studio track from it to share, as well as an incredibly good, incredibly long Halloween show from the local Canopy Club in Urbana, packed with covers. The entire show is incredible, but I recommend “Two Hits And The Joint Turned Brown,” “No Expectations,” and “Death Trip,” among others. As always, check out the band’s website and befriend them on MySpace.
