So I’ll tell you all here and now; I don’t know jack about Croatia. Hell, I didn’t even know where it was until I checked out the map today. That said, let me see what I can dig up. According to the good ol’ CIA Factbook, it’s slightly smaller than West Virginia, and is a recently formed country. They declared their independence from Yugoslavia in 1991. Too early for me to remember anything about international politics at the time.
Also, this just in, Croatia apparently just lost their first match to Brazil this afternoon, 1-0. Fine by me, I picked Brazil in my pool to win :o) .
Levon Levan – I Wonder If She’s Kinky. I have to give credit where it’s due. Today’s musical wonder from Croatia is Levon Levan, the self-described “Croatian Sensation With No Explanation.” I stumbled upon this guy on a recent post by Eric from MarathonPacks. As Eric says, Levan is basically the Croatian Tom Jones… I can’t really believe there are guys like this in the world, but without them I’d have no material to make fun of Croatia with, so I suppose I’m slightly glad he’s around. If you like that song, you should look into the extremely amusing video for “Looking Good,” including an incredible metal chorus and horrible accent. Enjoy the track, I can’t guarantee all of them will be this amusing.
