Thursday, 3:15PM: After quite a lot of driving from Champaign to Austin on Tuesday and Wednesday, I struck out with my hosts on Thursday afternoon to the South Congress area of Austin. First on the agenda was food and coffee which led us to Homeslice Pizza. Good food, and conveniently a stage setup in the rear of the building, where we caught the end of a set by The Teeth. Lots of energy for all the sun they had to deal with, and their set went pretty well. I’m also a big fan of Brian-the-guitarist’s mustache. It’s rather impressive.
