Summer Camp Artist #19 – Fat Maw Rooney

Alright, we’re back for the week with Fat Maw Rooney as the 19th artist in our Summer Camp Artist Series lineup. The group is a 5-piece funkjam ensemble out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and they’ve been around since 1996. The band’s most recent release was End Of The Beginning, and they’re set to release a new album, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, at some point in the future. They’re set to play on Friday at Summer Camp from 2-3 on the Campground stage.

I’ve got both studio and live tracks for you today, so here it is. Don’t forget to check out FatMawRooney.com and add the band on MySpace. I’ll say right now that I like all of the studio tracks, but the first part of the live show, “Bourbon Street,” and the Encore, “Drums > Stevie Wonder’s Superstition,” are both incredibly good and incredibly long.
