Summer Camp Artist #18 – The Station

Well, the Summer Camp Artist Series is now old enough to buy cigarettes, and to celebrate the big One-Eight I picked The Station. First off let me say, don’t get The Station confused with Station 211, the Champaign bar. Because the bar sucks, and they aren’t the same. Now that we’ve got that cleared up, let’s talk musique.

The Station is a four-piece out of Springfield, IL. They got their name from a poem by Robert Hastings. They’ve got a sweet lookin’ song called Jedi that I’d love to hear, and they’ve got a great electronic jazz funk feel that I’ve been grooving on tonight. That said, check out this show, and, as always, check out the band’s website and add ’em on MySpace.
