Well I managed to make it to both moe.’s Urbana Champaign show and their Chicago show, both of which were a blast. I’ve got some setlists for you as well as some of the torrents. Unfortunately the Urbana show isn’t available for download yet, but I have a feeling it’s because the guy I saw taping it was at the Chicago show and I have a feeling the St. Louis show, too, so check back here later and maybe we’ll have a torrent or two for Chambana’s rockin’ sets.

Another highlight of the show: a little moe. commentary on Summer Camp, including some loose lips. From the mouth of moe. bassist Rob Derhak, Yonder Mountain String Band, Rusted Root, and Bill Nershi’s (of String Cheese Incident) side project with his wife, Jilian Nershi, Honky Tonk Homeslice. I believe another band or two was mentioned, but it wasn’t clear what he said. So there you have it, along with three nights of moe., two nights of Umphrey’s McGee, and Keller Williams, Rusted Root, Yonder Mountain String Band, and Honky Tonk Homeslice have been announced for Summer Camp 2006 in Chillicothe, IL. Get your tickets quick, the contest for concert giveaways with ticket purchase ends on February 28th, and prices go up, too.

one leg downhello all,
sitting in the airport in st. louis, waiting for a plane. just wanted to thank you all for making the 1st leg of our winter tour an enjoyable, successful outing. thanks also to our great road crew w/o whom none of this would be possible. they are totally the unsung heroes of our world. the shows come off the way they do, largely due to their efforts – & when they make our job easy, we can focus on playing. thanks guys.thanks to all of you who really went out of your way to join us on this run. we had folks who drove from boston to chicago, flew from seattle to just about everywhere, drove from portland ME & did the whole tour, flew from l.a. & did the whole tour, sconies all over the place, & of course, good friends from charlotte & nashville who always show up @ the right time & make our loves on the road seem a bit more normal. it was a very impressive showing, all around. thank you all.
looking forward to getting back to texas, ok, new orleans, charlotte, & atlanta (2 nts. @ the fox!), and then on to snoe.down. we just confirmed the everyone orchestra, which will include jon fishman, jamie masefield, steve kimock, as well as members of moe. & several other musicians. should prove to be an interesting ride. did I mention that moe. is playing outside on the mountain on saturday afternoon? ski or ride up to the stage & enjoy some hot chocolate w. us.
other (warmer) news – currently planning our summer tour. we will begin @ summer camp & tour straight thru to bonnaroo. we are also planning @ least 2 add’l runs. details will come shortly. there will be several big shows, some nice short runs w. friends, plenty of moe. & plans to make sure we cover as much ground as possible this summer (even the often lost & forgotten left coast).
as of now, we have moe., umphrey’s, keller, rusted root, yonder, & billy nershi’s band confirmed for summer camp. there will be much more to come.
