Download For The Day: Machina 2 by The Smashing Pumpkins and much more

Some of you might recall this little release from the Pumpkins back in 2000, considered by most to be their last album.  It was called Machina 2: The Friends And Enemies Of Modern Music, and it was distributed to a small number of fans and expected that they keep distributing it, rather than releasing it normally.  Well BigO Worldwide Magazine has made almost the whole recording available for download, which you can pick up here.  Of the 25 tracks, four have actually been released elsewhere and therefore aren’t available for download, but this still has some good stuff on it, worth checking out.

I also recommend checking out BigO’s release of The White Stripes – The Glastonbury Festival, Pilton, UK, June 24, 2005, also distributed as We’re Sorry We’re From Amerika, Peter Gabriel’s Passion Outtakes, and for the experimental jazz fans Derek Bailey and John Zorn – Live At Tonic 2001.  All of these feature some pretty cool rare/unreleased/live/odd collaboration tracks and are definitely worth your time.
